Our Mission
The Louisiana Parish Engineers and Supervisors Association (LPESA) was founded in 1972 to foster and maintain a high professional spirit among Louisiana parish's public works and engineering employees. It provides instructive, entertaining, and important programs to those primarily concerned with the planning, operation, and maintenance of parish infrastructure. The LPESA is an organization through which programs may be coordinated among parishes and other government agencies. The organization's goal is to include an active member in every parish in Louisiana.

Connecting Peers and Industry Experts
LPESA offers multiple avenues to connect parish engineers with industry experts (or associate members) from private companies that offer relevant products and services that may be beneficial to the work that LPESA members do.
Fostering Partnership and Collaboration
LPESA collaborates with the Louisiana Municipal Association (LMA), Police Jury Association of Louisiana (PJAL), and American Public Works Association (APWA) Louisiana Chapter in various training and membership outreach efforts.

LPESA Conferences
LPESA conferences are the primary means for members to network with other members and experts in related professional fields. Conferences provide an opportunity to share information, ideas, and innovation in a range of topics pertaining to engineering and public works operations. Conference presentations treat topics such as concrete and asphalt pavement preservation, local road safety, bridge maintenance, effective drainage methods, and emergency preparedness. Valuable success stories and experiences from parish leaders are often shared, and useful products and technology are showcased by associate members. Conferences also regularly include updates on important legislation affecting local governments, and an update on the status of the Off-System Bridge Program.
